A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to inactive email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you will never miss emails because the other side has an out-of-date address or has made a mistake. The drawback of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of unsolicited messages, but this problem can be solved by using anti-spam protection software. It’s also important to remember that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot forward inbound emails to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a cloud hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel offers quite a few features, but it is really simple to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires only one single click. All the email addresses that you have will be displayed in this section in alphabetical order and you will simply need to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the given email address. Our system will alert you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or select another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and requires yet another click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will allow you to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulties even if you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you’ve created using your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you have already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding enabled. If you decide that you do not need the feature anymore, you can turn it off by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
